How is Otoplasty Performed?

Otoplasty is a plastic surgery that can be performed on anyone from the age of 5. Ear aesthetics, which is a surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia, can also be performed under general anesthesia so that children are not afraid. Otoplasty surgery, in which the ear and cartilage structure is reshaped, takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. At the end of the operation, special tapes are glued to the ears. These special tapes should remain wrapped around the ear for two weeks. The surgery has no risk and patients are discharged on the same day. Since the incisions are made behind the ear, they will not be visible.
